1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 12v 5 Speed manual. This is a 97 12v cummins 2wd 5 speed 2500 Dodge Ram that comes with the rare factory 2-tone red and black pain scheme. The truck also has the desireable 3.55 rear gears combined with the last year of the 12 valve makes it for one of the most fuel efficient trucks ever produced. It has all of the "necessities" and tasteful modifications done to maximize economy as well as perfomance to make a reliable package. It has the following installed: -Magnaflow stainless 4" turbo back exaust system -Large style open airfilter system -Upgraded fuel lines as well as manual fuel valve -Blueprinted 97' model P-pump -Various Fuel plates that come with the truck -larger BD injectors -Electric Pre-turbo Pyrometer (never goes above 900 deg towing my 28' enclosed racecar trailer) -Boost gauge in a piller pod -Killer Dowl Pin perminantly fixed -Upgraded double locking 5th gear nut -4000 rpm govener spring -Upgraded 4k springs in the cylinder head -Southbend clutch -A.R.E. Campertop -5th wheel hitch plate -Tow package The truck has the factory options of the nv4500 5 speed, two tone paint, 3.55 rear gears, posilock rear, grey interior and undercoating. The original owner kept meticulous condition of the vehicle and kept it indoors. There is an A.R.E. suprema campertop installed as well as a 5th wheel hitch plate and tow package. The tires are class E rated and have good tread depth left. I have seen a best of 28mpg on the interstate at 65 mph and 18mpg towing my 28' enclosed trailer. I am selling due to purchasing another cummins extended cab and dont need 2 trucks :) The truck has alot of power when it needs it but is very reliable and daily driver friendly, was my daily driver for over a year. The known issues with the truck is that there are a few dents and dings being normal with a 14 year old truck, a couple on the passengers side of the hood and one on the drivers side bedrail of the truck and a few small spots in the interior in the drivers seat, all very small and you can judge the condition from the video and pictures. All there when I purchased the truck. There was a stack installed in the bed and the round hole still exists in the passenger corner and the parking brake needs to be adjusted. Besides these normals conditions the truck is flawless and drives fantastic. Upon some requests, here is a video showing the spots in the drivers seat as well as a video of the blow down tube and removing the oil filler cap to show if there is any blowby.
