Your looking at a 1979 Pontiac trans Am. The car is in good condition, but will need work! The car has a very solid body. The engine and transmission are new from Summit Racing. They have been installed in the car and run on the parking lot. The car will need finished before driving on the street. The previous owner was in the process of restoring this car. He became ill and sold me the car the way you see it to pay medical bills. I was going to finish the restoration, but have too many other projects going on right now and one must go! The engine is the GM performance 383 crate engine. It has the Fast burn aluminum heads, steel crank, roller cam and much more. It is close to 400hp! The transmission is the TCI 700r4. It is 4 speed automatic with shift kit and heavy duty parts. See summitracing.com website for more details on the engine and transmission. The engine ran great but, will need distributor to run again. The rear was rebuilt with 3.73 gears and a posi unit. There is new custom headers and Flowmaster 2.5 inch exhaust. The car also has weld in frame connectors. The original wheels have been sandblasted and had new tires installed.The body is in good restorable condition or drive as is. The clear is flaking off is some spots. There is some very minor rust starting. The right rear lower quarter panel had some previous body work showing. The decals still look good. The car looks real good from 10-15 feet but, when you get close, you can see some imperfections. The t-tops are in good shape and dont leak. The front clip is off a 78' with the cooler lights. It will need realigned, the mechanic had it apart for the engine install. The interior will need some work to be nice. The rear seat is missing. The head liner needs replaced. The front seats are nice. The dash has some small cracks. The windshield is cracked. There is probably other things, good and bad that I missed. I would suggest coming to see the car in person if you can. This car does not run at this time. It will need distributor. The car is worth my asking price for the engine alone!
