Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a late 70’s or early 80’s Chrysler Sno-Runner. I do not know the exact year, but listed it as a 1978 because the ebay template makes you choose a year. As you can see by the pictures, this machine is very original, and very complete. This little Sno Runner has everything you would look for in a vintage machine. All the stickers are original and intact, the orange paint is quite nice, as is the seat upholstery. The handle bars black paint, and the headlight shell black paint have a few scuffs, but all are honest patina for a machine this old. It appears to be untouched and ready to restore, or use as a very nice original. This machine had not been run for years, but was stored in a clean, dry place. After a couple of shots of starter fluid, and a couple of pulls on the starter rope, it fired right up. It sounded pretty good too… a little smoke, and a little hesitant at first, but then it would rev up fairly cleanly, and it even idled nicely. I am sure it will need a little tuning, but I was impressed considering how long it had sat. The serial tag on the engine says it is a Chrysler Power Bee by Chrysler Outboard, and it was made in Hartford, Wisconsin. I did run it using a long fuel line with an old motorcycle tank sitting on a workbench, as the tank has some scale in it. Also, the ears have broken off the gas cap, most likely due to rust. The tank is not terrible, but will need some attention. The track looks to be in excellent shape too, but it is old, and it is a plastic of sorts, so I don’t know if it will hold up once cold. I figure anyone looking at this machine probably knows more about it than I do, so feel free to write to me with information or questions. I always am interested in learning, and keeping my auction descriptions accurate. I am selling this machine for a friend, but I take full responsibility for the accuracy of the description, and execution of the sale. My feedback is impeccable, so bid with confidence. Buyer is responsible for picking this item up in the greater Binghamton, New York area. Please do not ask me to ship it. However, I will do my best to make myself available if you have it picked up by a shipper. Please plan on picking up the Sno Runner within 10 days of auctions end. If you can not, please contact me before you bid. This is a NO RESERVE auction. Thanks for your interest. Dan Fadden 607.648.3691
