Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Hi, you are bidding on a 1997 Subaru SVX LSI coupe, the last year that Subaru made these cars. I bought the car myself on Ebay about 7 years ago from a private owner in Colorado. The car drives excellent and I have had very few problems with it, adult driven, I am 64 years old and the car has been maintained to the max. The timing belts were replaced at 65,000 miles, the front brake rotors are custom - drilled and slotted to reduce brake heating and/or disk warpage. A custom exaust system was installed 1 year ago in Tuscon, Az by motorsport warehouse, an SVX specialist. There is only one reason that I am selling the car; it cannot be registered in Mexico, which is where I now live. That means to tag the car I have to keep 2 insurance policies - one for Mexico and one for the US. There exists in Mexico a convuluted law that will not let a person register or tag a car here because it was imported to the US. The car cannot be registered in Arkansas unless a current insurance policy is in effect, no Insurance company in the US will carry a policy effective in Mexico, so -" rock and a hard place". About 5 years ago the car was parked for awhile and mice got in and chewed some wires underneath the intake manifold. The "check engine" light has remained on since then because the computer would not reset properly - THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE EXCELLENT CONDITION OF THIS CAR. In no way is the performance and reliability of this car affected. Also about 5 years ago it was in a hailstorm in Arkansas and was totaled by the insurance company (state farm) . I had a friend of 30 years in the body repair business and we ordered new all the sheet metal that was effected and replaced it, I would never use the method that some body shops use of "dent repair" that pops out at a later date. I installed an Alpine CD stereo system with Alpine speakers about 4 years ago and it sounds great. I am currently in Mexico (San Miquel de Allende) ,so my son is handling calls for me on this car (his # 479-6015016, MY # in Mexico is 011-52-1-4686896673)I accept paypal, certified check or cash.$500 deposit at the conclusion of the sale.
