Vehicle Detail
Where to start... First you need to know this vehicle is for sale AS IS, WHERE IS, located in Hillsboro, Oregon, is not currently insured nor does it have current tags! I suppose you could test drive it on the lot where it's sitting but that may not tell you much. You will either need to trailer it or take your chances. Now about this vehicle. I was a rural mail carrier for a couple years and this was my delivery vehicle. It is NOT: pretty or clean as you can see from the photos. There is NO radio. I had an ALPINE deck in it and pulled the deck but the harness and sleeve are still in the dash. (The OEM radio was dead when I got the van...) It NEEDS transmission work. It drives around town just fine but will not upshift into the hwy gears. What it does have going for it is: a VERY strong low mileage (for it's years...) engine; the biggest V6 they put in these 3.8L., with the towing package, (the reciever is still on it but no hitch.) An almost NEW set of open country tires from Les Schwab. A new battery from Les schwab, (I have the receipts and warranties for these) AND, still in the boxes(see last photo); front struts, rear shocks and both axles. My opening bid is what I have into the parts. The van is a bonus... Now more "less than good news", prior to putting the battery in it a couple months ago it SAT and SAT and SAT for over two years. The paint was NEVER any good to begin with, was pealing when I bought it and now there is rust showing in many places. The interior NEEDS a thorough cleaning and I mean thorough! Or maybe you just want it for parts to keep your similar van on the road. Maybe this is a mechanics special? Maybe you just need cheap transportation? I've never sold a vehicle on eBay although I have bought one... I have clear title and will sign it over to the buyer along with a completed DMV bill of sale for CASH. If you wish to pay via a cashier check, it will need to clear or we will go to the bank and cash it before I sign over the title. That's simple enough isn't it? If you want to pay with paypal then we will need to talk. There is no "profit" in this and to donate 5% to eBay on top of my selling fees will not make me a happy camper... I have been on eBay for a long time and with the exception of one sale to an international bidder that went sour I had PERFECT feedback. I want to keep it that way! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ask any and alll questions before you bid. If you wish to LOOK at the vehicle, it is at DICK'S country Dodge in Hillsboro. I do not live in Hillsboro but with sufficient notice may be able to meet a prospective buyer there. DO NOT BOTHER them. I trailered it to them to evaluate the transmission issues and decided I did not want to invest the time or money in this vehicle since I was no longer working for the post office and didn't want to trailer it home because I figured the better market was where it is. I don't know what else I can tell you. Oh, still have the FULL size spare which I will put with the new parts. Good LUCK, happy bidding and all that smiley face stuff...
