Vehicle Detail

I bought this car from a doctor in Idaho 3 1/2 years ago. I always keep a couple of vintage vehicles around for a hobby. It was his daughters daily driver and very well maintained. The car was originally a California car then moved to Idaho; I think I am the third owner. After a couple of mountain roadtrips, I was transferred to Minneapolis; where I shipped the car and parked it in an enclosed garage, where it has been since. Now I am retiring and have to downsize. The car has been solid and reliable. I started it periodically to keep the oil circulated. The mechanical systems are in very good condition: starts, steers, shifts stops and runs well. The idle at a stop sign in gear is a little uneven but I attribute that to sitting up. AC worked well the last summer I used it. Interior is in very good condition; there are a couple of small nicks in the drivers side seat cover and rear seat on drivers side, the drivers door lever needs to be put back together, but all parts are there. Otherwise, door panels, headliner, and dash are great. Gauges all work. Body and under carriage are solid. There is an 18"sq rust spot under mat in trunk that is still solid but will need treatment. There is a small ding in the roof that cracked paint and some surface rust is evident. Surface rust also on underside of hood where sound pad is missing and glue strips took off some paint. No rust evident in floorboards, wheel wells, rockers, or frame. Exterior some has minor dings and scrapes not untypical of a 36 year, most are only visible if you get right up on the spot. The car still looks great. The Mercedes emblem is missing from the top of the grill as is the chrome center strip, easily replaced. Glass is in good shape. There is an aftermarket JVC Cd player with Polk speakers. The mileage is my guess as the odometer reads only 23962 and the title reads exempt under mileage. I do have a registration card for a Mercedes factory replacement long block from 1999. I have a small reserve on the car, about half what I paid. I accept Paypal and require that a $200.00 deposit paid within 48 hours of auction close. Please email me with any questions or send me a phone number and I'll call you back.
