bubbasev Store Click here to get free auction templates at Auctiva.comUp for grabs is my 914 V-8 Race Car. Give PCA snobs fits at the track. Set up for auto-x, road courses, and hill climbs. Oddly, this car is almost street legal less racing slicks. The car has functional head lights, tail lights, turn signals, and windshield. This is decidedly not someone's first effort at a build. Many V-8 conversions begin with a car not worth saving and mate the engine to 914 transaxle. This one is different. This one has a Full cage and chassis bracing professionally executed on a rust free car. Removable steering wheel. Certainly NOT for the faint of heart. The car is powered by built SBC mated to 915 (sourced from 911) transaxle using KEP products. BMW brake conversion up front. 17" Wheels and racing tires with at least a season of life in them. 914 rotors re-drilled to chevy five pattern for affordability. Motor conservatively rated at 300 bhp and at least as much torque. Car is turn key. Electric H2O pump and fan. Functional Tach, H2O temp, and oil pressure. This car runs cool. Motor is easily accessed from all sides including front. Motor has 8 quart pan with windage, high rise intake, HEI ignition, and holley dual feed 750cfm. Fuel cell up front. Clean wiring harness. This motor runs very strong and is not a junkyard motor. Beauty of this setup is the abundance of parts and affordability of maintenance and repairs. This car will not be the limiting factor for most drivers. Car has been significantly lightened throughout. Easily sub 2K lbs. This is achieved through use of glass front and rear fenders/flares as well as glass front and rear deck lids. Doors have had glass removed. Racing seat with 5 point harness. Stock seat for brave passenger. Paint is not professional quality and decals are removable vinyl. A few stress cracks can be found on fiberglass. Clear title in hand. In summary, the car lacks the sweet sound and panache of a 914-6, but outruns most at a fraction of the cost. This car has a few rough edges. But dollar-for-dollar, nothing even comes close. Buyer could smooth rough edges (paint) or enjoy as-is. Short-term storage available to buyer. May consider trade for NICE 1973-1974 Porsche 914 that needs nothing. Thanks for looking.
