1982 Honda Silverwing

1982 Honda Silverwing GL500 I'm listing this as a no reserve auction - at a steal of an opening bid. This is a great bike - a solid workhorse for touring and daily riding. This Honda Silverwing is a 500cc motorcycle that includes a full fairing, side bags and a top bag that has a integrated backrest. The side cases are great and keyed alike. The topcase is very nice -and (depending on your size) you can store your helmet in there. I keep my full face helmet in there. I'm including the conversion bracket to convert the combination backrest topcase to a single rider as well. Attached are some pictures! Wait! I have questions!Great! Shoot. Who should get this bike? This is a great first bike for someone as well as a nice second bike (I upgraded to this bike myself). Well balanced and easy to ride. Anyone who wants a commuter bike or wants to get into motorcycle touring - get out there and ride and see the country and take along stuff with you. It's a Honda - and should run forever as long as you take care of her. She's been well maintained and runs like a top. Is the bike in perfect cosmetic condition? Seriously? It's an '82. And I ride the bike. So, no, don't expect a showroom finish. She's a well loved motorcycle that has only seen 30 thousand miles. She's in great shape mechanically. There are a few blemishes here and there. I've repaired the seat as you can see in the photos. There's fading here and there, but all in all she's in great shape for a 28 year old bike. She'll treat you right. I've done my best to describe her and took a ton of pictures - I'm not a mechanic type at all, but I've never seen any leaks or had issues with her. The tires are only a year old and have maybe 300 miles on them. Why are you selling it then? Well, I am looking to make some space in the garage and pay off some bills. (Ssssh! Don't tell the wife, but I'll be looking to get another one next year.) Oh, she can read this? Dang. :) She rides with me though, so I think she'll be missing it too soon enough. I love it!
