Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is "Chablis" our 1934 Plymouth coupe. Power is provided by a '70 350 4bolt main with Torker Plus cam and 2spd powerglide transmission. A 1969 Camaro RS front clip was grafted to a solid stock frame and the rear end is Ford 8". This car drives and handles like a dream and with the power steering and brakes she runs down the road straight,no crabbing or pulling and stops on a dime.It is a fun car to drive and although it has it's fair share of bug bites it still turns heads with it's '72 Lincoln rose poly and burgundy paint colors. I will include photos of 2 areas that need attention. One is the lower drivers door where a valet let the seat belt drop between the seat frame and door. The other is where someone's door slammed into the left rear fender. There is also a small amount of bubbling just under the passenger door. Other than these areas it is a rust free solid body car with absolutely no rust in cab or trunk floors. The transmission does leak when sitting for long periods of time such as over the winter months but not if driven on a regular basis but other than that it preforms well. Also has a nicely hidden trailer hitch. This is an all steel body and fenders car,no fiberglass. The only reason for selling Chablis is that our hobby interest have changed so we are not interested in trades. Buy this car now and put your mark on it for next season.I believe our reserve price is very reasonable and it would take little effort to return this car to what it was when we 1st built it in '83. Happy bidding and good luck. ! I encourage you to ask questions and I reserve the right to end this auction early as this car is also for sale locally. It has a clear Washington title ready for transfer. This car is sold AS IS, WHERE IS. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received and cleared before the shipping company picks the vehicle up. I will assist the shipping company in any way I can. I also welcome and recommend a buyer's inspection. If you plan to have a buyers inspection, please make sure you inspect the vehicle prior to the auction ending. Buyer is responsible for any inspection charges and fees. There is a $500.00 deposit due by PAYPAL (no fee to buyers) within 24 hours of auction end, with the balance due by cash or Certified Check. Deposit is non-refundable. I’m happy to answer any questions you have. On Nov-16-10 at 20:30:25 PST, seller added the following information: I do have the front bumper and brackets but not the covers where the brackets attach at the frame/fenders. The tires are almost new with about 200 mile since they were installed. On Nov-18-10 at 15:33:26 PST, seller added the following information: To answer some questions we have recieved and things that have come to mind. We put this car together in 1983 and have done nothing to it except drive it ,not abuse, during the late spring and summer rod events here in Western Washington and a few events in Eastern Washington. It has never given us an ounce of trouble in all those years. In the last 8 yrs. we have only driven it less than 50 miles each season if that many really. We have been asked " how far will it drive"? We would not hesitate to jump in this car and drive most anywhere but we know this car inside out, we built it! The 350 sbc does not smoke or use any oil. This not a freash build and the photos were dated. It has what I feel are normal wear and tear for a car that was DRIVEN and maintained. We have had many cars '48 Plymouths, '59 El Camino's, several Camaro's, '55-57 Chevy's,etc and this by far the most fun and effortless car to drive we have had. 1) Power drum brakes all around. Power steering. 2) Parking brake is not working, not sure if it ever did.Brake lining is 95% remaining. 3) only working stock gauges that function are the ampmeter and gas guage when it feels like it.Hence the small set of aftermarket guages below the left dash. 4) Phone # 360 733 8941 Pacific Coast Time. 5 to 10 PM please. On Nov-18-10 at 22:12:27 PST, seller added the following information: Note: Sorry, but we have decided we will not deal will with wire transfers . We will accept only cash or certified cashiers check as stated in the ad. My apologies to any overseas bidders but we feel the risks are too high.On Nov-22-10 at 10:18:52 PST, seller added the following information: As requested by one bidder I have added a clearer photos of left rear fender damage.
