Vehicle Detail
DISCLAIMER: I am selling this for my best friend who is out of the country until 11/20 and who has never sold anything on Ebay so he asked me to list this while I am housesitting for him. I have been driving this daily and have put several hundred miles on it. If I didn't love my '04 Crossfire so much I would purchase this in a heartbeat. THE GOOD: This vehicle is 18 years old but with the exception of the chin spoiler and one small chip on the front bumper the body is perfect. Not a ding, dent or owie. I don't even see any door dings. It runs like a bat-out-of-hell. We are talking seriously fast. Corners, stops, does everything a sports car is supposed to do. The interior has also held up amazingly well. This car has obviously spent a lot of time indoors. The convertable top is perfect (see item under Bad) as is the hard top. I appologize for not putting the hard top on for the pics, but that is hard to handle when alone and in a strange garage. The dash is still in perfect shape - no cracks. THE BAD: My friend bought this 3 years ago. Several weeks later he tried to put the convertable top up and found that the mechanism didn't work. Dealer screwed him on this. He has been putting it up and down manually. A few months after he bought it the engine seized up - the previous owner forgot to change the oil. He had another motor from a '92 put in that had 15k more miles on it than does the car. He has changed the oil according to schedule and it runs fine. This summer the AC stopped working. MINOR: This car is 18 years old. The arm rest on the driver's door has a broken hinge. The courtesy lights on the sun visors are cracked and not working. The front tires have 5/32 tread remaining and the rear have 6/32. The oldometer stopped working this summer. We figure there are approximately 1,200 miles on the car since the odometer stopped working. There is a small tear on the driver's seat back (see pic) THE UGLY: The chin spoiler has never met a parking block it didn't like. It is cracked and chipped. There is one small chip in the paint on the front bumper (se pics).
