Vehicle Detail
up for auction is this 1970 Plymouth Satellite. It is in the beginning stages of a superbird clone. It runs and drives, and has minimal rust. The 318 fires right up every time, and is probably numbers matching, i never checked it. A/C is all there and blows, just not cold. May be simple fix. All lights and blinkers work great, car runs and drives down the road well. The 318 has a lifter tick as most old 318's, mainly because it probably hasn't been 100 miles in the last 3 years. Tranny shifts well and the brakes are good. It has power drum brakes and power steering. The paint job on this car is amateur to say the least. IT is just terrible to look at, and was definitely done in someone's backyard. The body is actually very solid overall, and most of the bubbles are probably just paint popping out from bad prep. The only rust that is worthy of noting is on the lower passenger quarter around the wheel well, and the center of the trunk floor. The grill is in great shape, the vwhite vinyl top is in good shape. Taillights have been changed over to roadrunner/superbird taillights. The wing is fiberglass, and is in good shape. The trunk opens and closes just fine. The bumpers are painted gray, and need rechroming. They are good and straight though. The interior of this car is just AWESOME! the white seats are mint, the dash is mint, door panels are good, i'd rate this interior and strong 8.5-9 out of 10. very nice console and shifter, with aftermarket CD Player that sounds good and works underneath dash. Overall this is a great project car that needs little body work and a new (hopefully B5 blue) paint job. The car was originally B3 blue, fender tag is still in place. i have a mint build sheet for the car, and i have a folder of receipts that goes with it. Don't miss out a running driving solid 70 satellite is hard to find. perfect for that superbird clone! i reserve the right to end this auction early at any time for any reason, as car is for sale locally. Please email with any questions. Car is sold as is, clear title. Thanks and good luck!
