1966 GMC MODEL 4000 TRUCK, CONVENTIONAL CAB, 19,500 GVWR. 197” WHEELBASE DUALLY. CARGO BOX WAS CUT-DOWN TO FLATBED. 292 6-CYL,153 NET HP @3600RPM, SM420 MANUAL 4-SPEED TRANSMISSION. ODOMETER READS 72,247 ORIGINAL MILES. ENGINE RUNS SMOOTH/NO SMOKE/NO KNOCKS. TRANSMISSION GOOD IN ALL GEARS, CLUTCH GOOD. TWO SPEED REAR DIFF GOOD. PARKING BRAKE WORKS. HYDRAULIC BRAKES ARE LEAKING. GOOD HEATER. ALL GAUGES, WIPERS, WINDOW REGULATORS, DOOR LOCKS, AND LATCHES WORK. TIRES HAVE PLENTY OF TREAD, HOLD AIR, BUT ARE ALL AGE CRACKED. RIMS ARE 1-PIECE BUDD TYPE, TRUCK COMES WITH 3 SPARE BUDD RIMS. FRAME, SUSPENSION, STEERING ALL GOOD. CAB IS SOLID EXCEPT FOR LOWER R REAR CAB CORNER AND DRIVERS ROCKER BOTTOM, CAB MOUNTS SOLID, DOORS ARE GREAT, FRONT FENDERS ARE PROBABLY SALVAGEABLE BUT NEED THE MOST WORK. RUNNING BOARDS ARE PRETTY RUSTED. WINDSHIELD IS GOOD/NO CRACKS, BUT HAS SOME RUST STREAKING. DOOR GLASS (FLAT) HAS SOME CRACKS AND PITS . FLAKING WHITE PAINT OVER ORIGINAL ORANGE (U-HAUL colors?). OWNED SINCE 1990. TRUCK RUNS GOOD, I DON’T WANT TO JUNK IT. FIGURED SOMEONE OUT THERE MIGHT NEED A RUNNING DRIVETRAIN, OR EVENTUALLY RESTORE THIS “BIG RIG”. TRUCK NEEDS TO BE TOWED.
