Here is just one more reason Studebaker should not have gone under. The sliding roof was years ahead of it's time,the mid mounted and side visible tailights were a safety feature not even thought of for another ten years, rocker dash board swithes to save injury in case of an accident, safety belts etc. The body is very solid as can be seen in pics. There is some bubbling on bottom of tailgate, but the normal rust areas are really pretty good. Power steering, power tailgate window, roof rack,full hubcaps,and the tires are in very good shape as well.The interior is in good shape' the front seat has a tear in a seam towards the top but doorpanels and rear seat are in good shape. I forgot to mention it has the original AM radio and it does work. I bought the car as a lark and now am beginning the "downsizing project" that has been talked about for years. This car can be driven anywhere they sell gas. However it is a thirty six year old lady and should be treated as such. My starting bid is also my bottom dollar so the highest bidder will be in "the driver's seat". People are always amazed at the ideas this car presents. Any question call me at 815 297 3564 Mike.
