Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1999 Volvo S80 T6. I have owned this car since I bought it in 2006 and I have put the last 85,000 miles on the car. I bought a Jeep back in January and have not since driven the car much. I have driven the car maybe a dozen times around town. I drove the car to the carwash (to prepare to put on ebay) and the transmission was slipping badly. The round trip was about 30 miles. As I pulled back into my driveway, the "Transmission Service Urgent" light came on the dash. Don't know if its something catastrophic or simple -- I live in a rural area (not a lot of import mechanics around), and my lack of time has forced me to cut my losses. This car may be driven, however I would recommend bringing a trailer to pick up the car. The Good -- Body is in decent shape, no major dents, only normal dings on the front and a few scrapes on the driver side mirror and some surface scratches on trunk lid. The engine starts right up and its got a 1 month old (72 month) battery. The tires have good tread, only about 5,000 miles on them (put on last summer). The interior is in good shape -- only normal wear and tear, no major rips in the leather, cracks, etc. The car comes with 2 sets of floor mats -- a carpeted set and a winter set (rubber, catches mud, snow, etc.) Radio sounds great and it smells like a leather store inside, even after 10 years. The Bad -- The passenger rear window is off track, but motor does work (I currently have it manually wedged closed). The idle on the car is rough -- The electronic throttle module on these cars fail frequently (see forums), basically the car idles up and down when stopped, A good cleaning will probably help it out. Of course there's also the aformentioned Transmission Problem. This car is nothing short of a true luxury car -- drove great and made a very good dependable vehicle for me, before I parked it. The car certainly doesn't look like one that's a decade old and I got about 27 MPG on the highway, even with the 2.8L 268 HP twin turbo DOHC Engine. The car is available for pick up (I'd bring a trailer) in 42330, Central City, KY. I work nights and weekends, so viewing the car may be difficult, but you can message me and maybe we can work something out (likewise on pick up). I accept only paypal, money orders, cashiers checks, or cash upon pick up. This Volvo is sold "AS-IS, WHERE IS", "NO WARRANTY IMPLIED OR EXPRESSED"... I can work with transport company, but only after payment in full. These cars bring in excess of $5,000 in good shape.. I believe that someone could fix the transmission and clean/replace throttle module to get a nice car for much less. This is a good looking luxury car, that will make someone a dependable vehicle with some attention. Thanks for looking and please don't hesitate to ask any questions -- I'll do my best to reply promptly. The car needs to be picked up within 7 days of auction close, I will contact to make these arrangements. A $200 deposit is required within 48 hours of auction close. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!!! NOTE: This car is being relisted due to a non-paying (ebay won't let me tell what I really think) bidder, which seems to be the norm on ebay these days. If you do not have a feedback rating of 10 or above, please send me a message so that I may confirm your plans... Failure to contact me before bidding will result in your bid being cancelled. Please do not waste my time... Thanks again.
