Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1997 BMW E36 M3. The car is in good condition for its age. I bought the car in 2007 from the original owner who had originally been leasing the vehicle. He added a few upgrades that I chose to list below. I also added a few aftermarket and stock parts to the car to personalize it to myself which I've also listed. The title is clear and registration is current through June 2011. The car has just over 107K miles on it, averaging just over 8.2K miles a year. Cosmetically the car is in good condition but has usual wear for a car of this age. There is a small scratch (4-5") just to the right of the fuel cap, just under the crease on the quarter panel. Because of it's location, it is not very noticeable. And just below the rear bumper on the left hand side there is a small 2-3" vertical crack in the plastic. Both of these blemishes happened to the car before I purchased it. A few weeks ago I was unfortunate enough to be several car lengths behind a construction vehicle and have a small chip on the windshield that does nothing to hamper visibility. The interior is immaculate and again shows very little wear for a car of its age. The drivers seat does however show the brunt of the wear with a small tear on the seat base that originally came with the car. That said, the seats are incredibly comfortable and supportive and is easily one of my favorite of the cars many attributes. All aftermarket purchases made by myself has been from Bavarian Autosport, Turner Motorsport, Tire Rack, or directly from BMW. I also purchased a brand new set of PIAA wipers in anticipation of the rainy season that will also be included in the sell as well as a couple spare valve stem caps. The entire cooling system was replaced by European Motor Works in Arcadia, CA in January 2008 and I've been told the cooling system for this car isn't the best that it could be. Because of this, the car is running hot and I had it towed to a shop. It was determined that the car needed the head gasket replaced. I've explained the car's symptoms to a couple of other local BMW specialists for a second opinion, and all have came to the same conclusion. I'm not particularly mechanically inclined so this type of work is far beyond my mechanical capabilities. This car would be suited to someone who has that capability or knows someone who can do the work for them. I would love to keep the car and have the work done, but the recent addition of my daughter and the need for a lager vehicle is forcing the sale. It is easily the best car that I've owned and it has provided the most out of driving it. I've enjoyed adding to it to make it mine, as I'm sure the next owner will do so as well. If you are willing to get it sorted out mechanically the car would be a rewarding purchase. Lastly, the left rear brake light is out. I've replaced the bulb and that has worked in solving that problem, but that particular light seems to go out quicker than what should be expected. The car has NO RESERVE with the complete understanding of the car's current condition in mind. Please feel free to contact me with any/all questions. I will be more than happy to answer them. Just send me an e-mail. Please be aware that buyer is responsible for all shipping and pick-up fees and that it is not included in the final cost of the vehicle. I will not be responsible for the delivery or shipment of this vehicle. I do not and cannot offer any financing. A $500 non-refundable deposit into my PayPal account is expected within 24 hours of end of bidding with complete payment within 7 days of end of bidding. The winning bidder is the actual buyer of the vehicle. This is not a right of first refusal. Also, any bidders with less than 10 feedbacks will need to contact me before bidding. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it may be listed for sale locally. All sales are final, so please be sure that you understand what you are getting by again asking as many questions as possible. Bid witth confidence, which can be reinforced by my 100% feedback.
