Vehicle Detail
I have for sale my awesome Honda Inteceptor with ABS, hardbags and luggage inserts. It's is barely broken in with only 3,498 miles on the odometer. I followed the factory engine break-in procedure and changed the oil and filter when due. I always used Amsoil 20w-50 synthetic oil in all my bikes. I lubed my chain and sprocket with every fill-up (about every 200 miles). I run the tire pressure 2-4 lbs above factory specs. I have learned over the years that this improves tire milage significantly. I bought it new at Pete's Cycle in Baltimore 13 months ago. I, also bought the YES 4 year extended warranity this year. It's in near perfect condition with 3498 miles on the odometer. I just cleaned it up for the pictures and their are no dings, dents, or scratches. If it was on the showroom floor you would not know it from a new one except for a little tire wear. It runs and shifts perfectly. I broke the engine in properly and have never abused this great machine. The front wheel has never been off the ground. I had a second gen. FJR which I rode to California and back and also, Key West. The FJR is a very good bike but, I think the Interceptor is a little better. I have set it up for long trips but, I am 70 years old and starting to worry how I would get thru a bike accident. When you start having these thoughts it takes the enjoyment out riding so I have decided its time to move on. Here is a list of the optinions with a little explanation of some of them. * Powerlet socket $59 * Fenda Extenda (not in installed) $54 * Motivation frame sliders (not in installed) $90 * YES warranty $489 * Givi tall w/s $130 * Brake light modulator $59 * Tank protector $20 * Honda hard bage inserts 0 * Honda service manual $80.00 * Convertibar riser system $617 This is very expensive but, for the serious long haul rider it is the only system that works. Please go to www.convertibars.com to check it out. I can set straight up and it is great for long trips and the bars can be ajusted to any position in minutes. Also, it does not effect how the bike handles. The kit has the new bars, throttle cables and braided clutch and brike lines. * MADSTAD windscreen protection system $399 They call the brackets Robo brackets and they are attached to the windshield. The other w/s is then attached to the Robo brackets. This system allows the new w/s to be adjused vertically and at different angles to attack the wind. It does not particularlly look good but it is great for any long distant runs. I have a second larger w/s for winter riding. One of the pictures shows the system on the bike. Please go to www.madstad.com to see how it works. The total of these parts is about $2000 plus a lot of install time. I'm not trying to get all the money back for these parts but, this bike is way ahead of most other bikes. I have bought and sold many bikes and I have nothing but compliments from my buyers. There are no flaws with this bike and I'm sure you will love this anniversity edition. Also all parts go with this bike. $1000.00 deposit is due at the end of auction, Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and cost. I reserve the right to end auction at any time.
