Vehicle Detail
Here is a One Owner, 1949 Studebaker 1 ton 2r15 C-Cab Pickup Truck. The truck is in excellent shape for a vintage restoration or to build a rat rod out of. The body is in very good shape. The front clip shows minimal rust on the front fenders and leading edge of the hood. There is some rust at the bottoms of the A posts and the cab floors where the inside running boards attach to the floor pan. The box is extremely solid as is the tailgate. All of the original parts are with the truck. Including the hard to find parts like the glass front turn signal lenses, the horn button, gauge package, and front hood 'Studebaker' badges. The only two parts missing is the side hood badges and the bullet shaped hood ornament. The truck has 33,894 original miles on it. The engine is a flat-head 6 cylinder that has a recent tune up and IT PURRS LIKE A KITTEN!!!!! The transmission is manual, the clutch and everything works. It has the original 17" split rim wheels and tires on it and 3 of the 4 tires are shot. Aside from the flat tires, the truck RUNS AND DRIVES!!!! The window glass is all accounted for and in good shape except for the vent windows are cracked. The floor pan under the seat is intact and in good shape. The two original vin tag and id badges are in place as well. The dash is complete and in working order. The wire harness is original cloth coated wire that shows it's age. The original start button located under the clutch pedal is intact and functional. The frame is as solid as the day it rolled off the assembly line. The grill and front bumper are also in original condition. The only things that I can see that have been changed or modified are the rear bumper and some tie down hoops were attached to the box. The doors, handles, hinges and latches all work fine. The other great thing with this truck is that I have the ORIGINAL HAND-TYPED TITLE ISSUED ON AUGUST 18TH 1948!!!! According to the title, the last time the truck was registered was 1967. These trucks in restored condition value over $10,000, and you won't find a more complete, original, untouched and RUNNING/DRIVING specimen to start with. Here's your chance to build that classic, rat rod or custom hot rod. I've done my best to describe everything I know about the truck, but as always, please ask questions if you have them. The truck is sold as-is obviously because of the age. Delivery is a possible option for a fee, and depending on how far away you are....I'm always up for a road trip! The reserve is VERY LOW, I'd like to move this before the snow flies.
