Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a beautiful 1991 full-sized Ford Bronco. It has the Eddie Bauer package. The truck has a navy blue exterior with a tan interior. I am not a mechanic and I have a very basic understanding about vehicles, but I will do my best to list everything that I know about this truck. I have owned it for two years and really don't have any info about it before that time. It ran fine until about 6 months ago. I need to sell it, but I was not sure how much to ask for it. I decided to list it on ebay and figured that it would bring a fair price based on the bids recieved. As I said, I will try to share all the info I know about the truck. Mechanically When I first purchased the truck, it ran fine. After about a year, I began to notice that it had developed a skip and was losing a little power. I took it to get a tune-up and the mechanic told me that it was losing compression on one of the valves. He said that I would need to put a new engine in it. I didn't have the money to fix it at the time, but began saving to make the repair. He said that I could still drive it without any problems. I continued to drive it with the skip and really didn't have any major problems. About 3 months ago, I was pulling a trailer with it when I began to have another problem. As I pulled the trailer into the yard, I couldn't get the truck to engage in reverse so that I could back down my drive. I shifted in and out of reverse several times and it finally when into gear. I back the trailer in, unhooked it and parked the truck. That is the last time it has been able to move. I now can not get it to go into drive or reverse. I have played with it several times and it just want shift into any gear. Transmission fluid level is fine. I never really had an issues with the transmission before this, so I'm not sure what happened. I love the truck, but I just can't afford to fix both the engine and transmission. It has a Ford 302 V8 and is a 4x4. The truck starts and runs, but just will not go into gear. The 4x4 was working fine the last time I used it. The truck will need to be towed. I have AAA and can have it towed for free for up to 250 miles. Exterior The truck is in good shape. The body is clean and and the paint is good over most of the body. The only issue is the hood. It looks like the previous owner tried to paint the hood with spray paint. It is now chipped very bad and a light surface rust is begining to form. The rest of the body's paint is great and would not need to be redone, just the hood. I understand that Broncos were bad about rusting around the wheel wells, that is not an issue with this truck, There is no rust on the truck except for the surface rust on the hood. Nothing major to fix. There are no major dents or dings in the truck. It looks great to be a 91. The tires are in great shape with plenty of life left in them. The spare on the back is a new full-sized tire that has yet to touch the road. Interior The interior is very clean. It is one of the things that impressed me with the truck when I first bought it. There are no rips or tears in the seats. The dash and console are in great shape too. I tried to take several picture of the interior so that you could get a good look at it. The power locks and window work well, including the rear window which I replaced the motor in when I first bought the truck. The stereo is the factory am/fm cassette radio. The cruise works fine also. The ac had a slow leak, I have been putting a can of refrigerant in a couple times a year. The odometer shows 58,941. I have never pulled a carfax on the car, but I assume that it has 158,941 on the engine. Also, the gas gauge does not work. I don't know what else to share about the truck. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know. You are more than welcomed to come take a look at it and check it out for yourself. I am starting the truck at a $1 bid and figure you guys will know better what it is worth. Thanks for looking. On Nov-04-10 at 06:12:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I am sorry, but I miss spoke about the towing. AAA allows me to tow the truck for 100 miles for free, not 250. I will be more than happy to have it towed for the 100 miles. Sorry for any confusion that may have caused.
