I never thaught the day would come that this machine would be for sale.This is really one of a kind of XL`S you will ever see for sale,even on Ebay.Tough times we are living in has forced this sale. (History) This 1974 XL 350 has a 412 Powroll motor that was built at a honda shop in Portland Oregon in 1999.Bored,Powroll piston,lifters,cam.The bike was originally destined to become a local flat-track racer and luckly ended up in my hands.The buyer traded a cherry 1969 Honda mini-trail for this unique bike.Granted it is no Tailer Queen and will not win a beauty contest ! nick-named `The Moose` it is!! If you ever wanted a truelly fun to ride RETRO torque MONSTER this may be the bike for you!The motor has approximately 15hrs. of careful riding,it has NOT been abused EVER.IT has GOBS of Torque and runs very well.Starts on the second or 3rd kick(if you can kick it over)alot of compression! The bike has an original stock frame with all it`s street gear removed that was already sold.(strictly off-road/dirt now)The tank is original with a few dings.The rear shocks are vintage Marzzocky gas shocks that are tired and could need re-building but still work well for their age.The front fork seals are new with a fresh charge of Bel-ray fork oil.I had originally wanted to restore this bike and collected a few bits and peices along the way but it has sat quietly in my basement.It has only ever been used to trail-ride since the Powroll motor was built.Some buyers may be interested in the motor only and would be perfect fit to a C&J RACING FRAME?or a perfect back-up if you already have? The original stock motor had Approx.4800 miles at rebuild.This bike can hook-up and FLY!The gear-box is silky smooth and the clutch perfect,I picked up a spare new OEM clutch a few years back just in case(included) among other items shown.Has an adjustable backpressure Powroll Header shown.The previous owner wanted to trail-ride and Dune ride so it also comes with a spare rim and New Dune hopper tire mounted that cost him $150.00.Comes with 95% new rear tire that has same hrs. as motor.Front tire is good but has slow leak. I rode the bike on 3 differant occations at a local off-road vehichle park and have left entry bands on handle bars(shown).Many folks photographed the bike and I received offers to sell every time I went.People were always interested and loved it`s look and preformance.The bike has not been cleaned and is photographed today as it came out of my basement.Has been stored inside all it`s life. FYI, The previous owner broke his back shortly after aquiring this bike(on his CR 500)WIFE SAID THIS HAD TO GO!Only reason I was lucky enough to get it! FLAWS The tank could use a good cleaning and an ap of `Creme`,the front tire has a slow leak,the fork mounted choke bracket needs replacing.These things are insignifficant unless you are going to restore.The float in the carb needs adjustment as it will drip through overfow unless you close pet-cock when not running.Over-all minor items and do-not affect preformance.The bike runs VERY SMOOTH.It is loud and has a beautiful THUMP TO IT! I owned a stock XL 350 back in the day and this bike drinks the fuel in comparison to stock. MUCH MORE POWER AND TORQUE THAN STOCK XL 350.
