Welcome. You are bidding on a very rare opportunity to own a real 1955 Porsche Speedster. This car was converted to race car in the 1970's and has been raced since. A larger race fuel cell was added and during the addition, the front part of the car had to be cut and the Porsche VIN number was removed. The car had an SCCA number stamped into the roll bar and comes with log books. This car has had a very successful racing history and has won many 1st place National victories and was the last real Speedster to win an SCCA National Championship. In addition it was Midwest Division 1st Place in 1996 and 1997. Mechanicals: This car is fitted with a 1956 Porsche 356 engine that turns over, but has not been run in sometime. It is complete with Solex carbs, and accesories. This car is fitted with full coil over suspension, This car has a race prepared 741 transaxle fitted with the very rare ZF Limited Slip transmission. This car has 4 real Fuchs alloys they are 15x6. Overall: This is a rare opportunity to own a real Speedster.
