This auction is for a 1993 Ford Escort Wagon with 72k original miles (not 172k!!). This vehicle is a one owner vehicle that has been smoke free and garage kept it's whole life. Car has never been involved in an accident. Car is automatic and has ice cold A/C, intermittent rear wiper, rear window defrost, power mirrors, and a pioneer detachable face CD. The cloth interior is almost perfect. Car runs great and has a brand new battery, tires, front and rear brakes, and rear tail gate support struts. The vehicle had a new timing belt and water pump at 60k miles. Both driver and passenger automatic seat belts still work. The vehicles paint is "Mocha" in color and still very shiny. The car has it's normal small dents, dings, and scrapes but looks fantastic for it's age. Everything works on this vehicle except the turn signals do not automatically turn off after a turn. Also, dome light does not work; fuse keeps blowing and the left rear tail light assembly is cracked. It still works and is legal, but you can replace it for $20 from a boneyard. The gas mileage on the 1.9 Escorts is fantastic. You can get almost 400 miles per tank. This car is a great deal for the price. With no credit available these days to buy a car, and gas prices the way they are you get the best of both worlds. Cheap, reliable car that is great on gas....and still looks good too!! Now for the bad news...car is for local pick up only with cash payment at time of pick up. Buyer will need to present a valid drivers license and sign a bill of sale. Illinois residents will need to register the vehicle in my presence- no exceptions.
