Vehicle Detail
This Raider was purchased by a freind of mine and brought to me to rebuild the engine. When I told him the parts would be $1200 he decided not to fix it. I thought it was a cool rig so I fixed it up for myself. Since completion my wife has informed me she would rather have a new kitchen so its gotta go. The engine has been completly rebuilt with a crank kit, new oil pump and timing chain. The cylinder walls were in spec. so the cyliders were honed and rings replaced (standard), the block was hot tanked and new counter shaft bearings installed as well as freeze plugs. A valve job and resurface was done to the cylinder head. I replaced the clutch assembly while the engine was out. The alternator was rebuilt. The vehicle had been sitting for 5 years so I drained the tank, replaced the fuel filter, and had the carburator rebuilt. Other features include Aluminum wheels and a CD player. I have not done much for detail work on it. The paint is OK but could use some buffing. The drivers side window crank is missing the knob but the window works fine. The passenger side mirror glass is broken but the body of the mirror is fine. The brakes work and feel fine but I have not inspected them to know how much lining is remaining. The interior is in good shape but the head liner is a little saggy in the rear. I have a clear and signed California title for this vehicle. The tags are expired so a temperary permit will be needed if someone wants to drive it home. This is a no reserve auction so if you are the high bidder its yours. The work that has been done to this vehicle would cost you $2500 in my shop ( I have been a mechanic for 27 years). Vehicle needs to be paid in full within 7 days of the close of auction. The vehicle can be stored for a resonable time till shipping can be arranged. All shipping cost to be paid by buyer. Good luck bidding.
