In San Diego area and up for NO RESERVE auction is a beautiful 1966 Mercedes 230SL convertible with a 4 speed transmission. It has 2 tops. Has some service record. This car was donated by a well off family in a nice area of CA. It had 2 owners since new. Recent owner had it since 1990. The donor guarantee the mileage to be original in the title and bill of sale. Autocheck doesn't go older than 1981. If you are new to Ebay with 2 or less positive feedback, please email me with your phone number before you bid. This is a beautiful car with a paint job from 1993. Rest of the car is all original and in good condition. NO RUST. There's no obvious rust underneath or at the other usual places like wheel wells and corner of windows. Not in the trunk or the engine compartment. See those pictures. Engine is strong and good. Easy to start and runs great. Oil pressure gauge shows good pressure when warm also. See dash photo. There's no smoke, white, blue or black, or does it has any knocking or pinging noise. Transmission shifts nicely. Clutch works fine. Handles well also. It's a beautiful car. Body is great, there's very miminal dings and scratches. On ding on the right door. Paint is beautiful. I have pictures of before it was painted back in 1993. The body was brought down to bare metal and all the chrome pieces were removed. Will have the pictures for the aution winner. Chrome is very good with very minor aging. Please look at the photos closely as they do a better job in describing the cosmetics than I could. Interior is all original and is in pretty good shape. Side panels, etc. are very nice. Dash has no crack. Upholstery has miminal aging. It has E. Nardi steering wheel that has wood finish that matches the dash wood. The original wheel is resting inside the trunk. It also has the center console and cushion. The original AM/FM/SW radio. It has a factory service manual also. Convertible top is original and is fairly good. Pretty wrinkled as it had not been used hardly. Rear window is foggy in the plastic. Set of Pirellis are like new and has no crack on the sidewalls. Factory wheels and hub caps are nice. Spare tire is good and all the hardware for tire changine are in place. Brakes stop well. Has a clean and clear CA ttle for the auction winner. CA registration is valid until Sept 2011.
