This auction is for a 1976 Porsche 912e - of which only around 2200 were originally made. The car is in very good condition and has been garaged for most if not all of it's life. I purchased the car in 1996 after it had been sitting for some time in a garage in NJ. The engine was rebuilt and since then I have unfortunately not driven the car other than around 100-200 miles per year. The interior is in great condition, excellent except for seam separations on the drivers seat. The passenger seat and the rear jump seats are perfect. The dashboard is perfect. The car runs very well, starts up every time, and it drives well. New tires (Pirelli P400s were installed in 2004) have less than 1000 miles on them. The body of the car is in very good shape with no rust excluding a slight bubble on the driver's side door frame which has been there for the entire time (14 years) that I have owned the car. When the engine was rebuilt I had it changed from fuel injection to dual Webber carbs which have been very reliable. I will also take any additional pictures you would like me to take, just tell me what you would like to see and I'll send it to you. If you would like to have the car inspected, there is a Porsche dealer in Albany, NY which I can take the car to. Otherwise, I will be glad to drive the car to another shop within 25 miles for an inspection. In either case, if you make the arrangements for the inspection I will be happy to drive the car there. I have listed the car several times over the past few years with a higher reserve, but now I need to sell it so I have lowered the reserve.
