1983 Honda Gold Wing

History- This Gold Wing was purchased new at Courtesy Sport Honda in Stevens Point, WI. The original owner who is a retired priest now, sold the bike to S&K Service, a motorcycle dealer in Hatley, WI. I purchased the bike from them on 8/17/07. The original owner kept the GL1100 in a controlled environment as it has absolutely no signs of any rust anywhere. This GL is very, very original and has a nearly new appearance. The fuel tank cover has maybe 3 small paint chips, the front fender has what looks like an oval piece of black shiny tape that probably covers a paint imperfection and also one of the other side to look symmetrical, and the right muffler has a slight bulge in the chrome but is very solid and is not rusted. These 3 items are all visible in the pictures. When I bought the GL I installed new brake pads and flushed all old brake fluid out and installed new in a-ll 3 brakes. This year I paid $230.00 to a 60-year-old Honda technician, who now has his own shop, to remove, clean, and synchronize the carbs. I also purchased a new $60.00 Honda service manual and installed a new $80 Interstatge battery. This GL is ready to ride as it starts quickly--hot or cold-- runs and handles as it should and all electrical items, including the self-cancelling turn signals, work perfectly. Everything about this GL looks really close to "as new". The clutch, transmission, and engine operate and function as they should. Also included are an "as new" owners manual, Honda air pressure gauge, extra key, and a 21-piece tool kit which appears to have never been used. The tires are in good condition, have a lot of tread-life left and are the original looking Dunlap white-lettered. Picture did not show up but seat is in perfect condition.
