Vehicle Detail
1915 Model T Touring Car – Brass This car is 95 years old and for the most part all original. Most Model Ts are black, this one is Burgundy, black and white. There are brass highlights all over the car. The wheels are wood. It has been garaged for the last 25 years. I was Vice President of the local Model T club and it was beneficial to belong to this club. This T is in great shape due to the help from this club. This car is normally the oldest at car shows, is great fun at parties, the kids pile in and go for rides. It has been auctioned for charity rides and used at weddings. On tours it was a good hill climber. To start the car you will need to be able to crank the engine, it is more technique than strength. Light weight engine oils make it easier in cold weather or you can jack up one rear wheel. In August it is easy to crank. Starting the car will attract a crowd. It has the standard 2 gears forward, 1 reverse and it stops. Max speed is in the 40s, although I recommend 35 MPH. I Installed Kevlar bands on the first gear and the brake. I was glad that I did because I have not had problems since that time. It has two electrified headlamps and three oil lanterns. It comes with many parts, tools and brass trinkets. It has been in my family for 25 years and it runs and drives great. It does need a little work on the seats and the top. It has very little body rust. The springs have rust, mostly from the coolant. In hot weather it does tend to overheat. That being said, it does not prevent you from extended trips. You can add water once it cools after a stop. This car can easily go for 40 mile trips. The car is offered with an enclosed trailer. I store the car in the trailer over the late fall and winter. I would like to sell the two combined. The trailer is a 2003 double axle16 ft ramp door enclosed Wells Cargo. The engine has a 5 1915 implied that it was made in May of 1915. It also has a number of 995,xxx implied that it was one of the first million made. Car and parts $9500, trailer with car an additional $4500. I have clear titles for both the T and the trailer. The car is located in Edmonds WA. Noel Putaansuu 425-776-7164
