1988 Honda Shadow VT800 -- yes, the unicorn. In my opinion, this is the perfect candidate for a ground-up restoration. Otherwise, it would make a great parts bike. As of now, it rolls and runs/drives when it feels like it. When it runs, it sounds nice and solid. Both brakes need some attention. It has an issue with intermittent spark which I've been looking into, hence the plugs being out in the pictures -- it was not stored with the plugs out. This bike would have been a keeper for me, but unfortunately, I need the money, so on down the road it goes. On Oct-20-10 at 00:08:58 PDT, seller added the following information: -- Update October 20 -- I've received several requests to sell the backrest separate from the rest of the bike. It's been enough of a response that I will be removing the backrest and setting up another auction just for it. To be clear: the auction that you are looking at now is for the VT800 without the backrest. I'll post another update with a link to the backrest when I have that auction setup.
