Vehicle Detail

1997 Ford F-150 4x4 Extended cab with a Turbo Intercooled 4bt Cummins swapped in. This conversion was done by someone who has done numerous ones of these and used as much factory components as possible. The stock 5spd trans was hooked up with a Ford-Cummins adapter plate. Custom motor mounts were fabricated. The truck starts right up and runs great. It is quieter inside than you would expect and you can cruise down the interstate at 70mph quieter than my 98 Dodge. It has plenty of power (more than the 4.6 V8 had) with good acceleration and goes right up the hills without having to downshift. The motor only had 40,000 miles on it when it was put in and has had 20,000 miles put on since the conversion with NO issues. I wouldn't hesitate to hop in and drive it anywhere. The best part is it gets 23mpg around town and easily over 25 mpg on the interstate. The truck has power locks and windows (passenger window currently not working-pinched wire somewhere my guess), power mirrors, cassette with stock 6cd changer, a/c that blows ice cold, and a full Pro-sport gauges including EGT, water temp (more accurate than factory), oil pressure (factory doesn't work) and boost. It also comes with a Dakota Digitial tach converter so you can hook up the factory tach and cruise. The interior is a little dirty but would clean up nice. The lower body and bed are rusty as you can see in the pics and has scratches/dings around it but makes a good work truck. The tires are all in great condition with a lot of tread left. I took a quick youtube video of it starting one morning after it had been sitting for a several days. It was cold enough to see your breath and it fired right over. Here is a link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brziWwmYlLc This would cost you around $12,000 to build and countless hours but here is your chance to own one where someone else paid the money and time. It will sell with NO RESERVE to the high bidder so bid to win! $200 paypal deposit due within 48 hours and full payment due in cash and pickup within 7 days of listing end. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. On Oct-18-10 at 06:34:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Per some of your requests, here is a video of me starting it this morning and driving down the road. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phJTxhfA6Ek It was 47 degrees and the truck had been parked since last Thursday. I walked out, got in, started it up and drove away. Got up to 70 mph and then turned around and came back. The two lights on the dash are the check engine light (no way around that) and the oil pressure- the diesel doesn't interface with the factory. As you can see/hear in the video, it has plenty of power and shifts nice and smooth between all gears with no grinds. I do enjoy driving it and people will stop you every time you fill up with diesel at the gas stations. I would keep it but have a few other projects I want to get done. Like I said earlier, I would get in and drive anywhere. I have put 500 miles on it in just the last two weeks.
