You are bidding on a great little Mazda Protégé 5. This is a great car because it gives great performance and reliability along with the great utility of a sport wagon. The car was constructed in Canada so the speedometer is displayed in kilometers – it has the 119614 – which is 74k miles. The motor is really quick and peppy. It has great handling as well. The tires were purchased in late July – they are relatively new and have about 1500 miles on them so there is plenty of tread left. The clutch is strong and shifts without issue. The oil was just changed. The brakes (front – including rotors and rear) were changed in May so the car stops on a dime. The paint is in pretty good shape as well. The car has never been in an accident. The only real issue with the paint has a couple of “bubbles” – the beginning of rust (all pictured.) This is the only rust on the car and does not take away from the overall appeal or appearance. The paint has the usual dings and minor scratches that come with a used car but the overall finish is better than average condition. The interior is in perfect condition – carpet, seats and panels are all like new. Car has been owned by 2 non-smokers. Issues worth addressing: 1.) There is a small oil leak – the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced. This doesn’t affect how it drives, but it does require attention; 2.) The muffler has a small hole in it, which in turns makes the "check engine" light come on. Once the muffler is replaced the light should go off as well; 3.) The parking brake does not work – it requires a replacement of the cables; 4.) There is a crack in the rear left light casing. This car is being sold "AS-IS" for miles and year only.
