Beautiful original 1968 Corvette. Excellent clean car. Weekend driver, lovingly restored (frame on). One of the most beautiful American muscle cars ever built, this represents the first production year of the "Mako Shark II" design! This is a piece of American art that you can drive! 427ci/400hp tripower engine, all numbers match. Very fresh stock rebuild with less than 5000 miles, immaculately maintained. (L68) Upgraded cooling system - DeWitts Direct fit A66M Aluminum Radiator. Factory original water pump, fan and clutch. Detailed engine compartment, all stock including shielding. New engine electrical harness and front fiber optics. 4 speed transmission (M20, I believe) Fresh clutch and pressure plate when engine was rebuilt. Positraction rear, correct heavy duty, numbers match (2AU 1 17 68W) Power steering Power brakes Original numbers matching 7 inch rally wheels. Nice trim rings and hub covers. Excellent tires all around. Restored STD black interior (Al Knoch carpet, door panels and seat covers). Stock rubber floormats. Restored gauges, all work including clock! Restored original AM/FM radio with digital upgrade. New front speakers. Input connection for iPod. Power windows.Beautiful paint, repainted approximately 8 years ago, original Lemans Blue color (paint code 976). Excellent condition. A few minor defects. Glass is in good condition, one small scratch on windshield (may be able to be polished out) and one small chip in top edge of door glass. All vacuum systems work perfectly (headlights and wiper door) All fiber optics work. Front fiber optics are new (replaced along with new engine harness, rear fiber optics are original and are dimmer) Nice front bumper, rear bumper shows its age, could use rechrome or replacement. Fresh black convertible top. Nice matching hardtop. Original jack and handle, spare tire on original rim. This is a really nice clean car that is a blast to drive. It turns heads everywhere it goes. The engine compartment is very detailed and is impressive. I would encourage anyone seriously interested in this car to come inspect this yourself prior to bidding.
