Up for sale is my 2005 BMW R 1200 RT. If you are looking for the best riding machine out there, without spending $15- $20K, this may be the bike you want! I have owned about a dozen motorcycles over the last 15 years, including Harleys (big and small) and Hondas. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. This one however outshines them all when it comes to performance, functionality, and comfort. These bikes really are amazing. Doing 500 miles in a day in a cakewalk. (I am sure some of you are thinking 500? try 1000) I have not owned this bike very long (only about 2500 miles) but I have really enjoyed it. So you are probably asking yourself, why am I selling if it is so great? Simply, it is way more bike than I have time to use. I have 3 small children and I have decided to focus more on them. I recently bought a fishing boat and I am going to put my energy there for a while. I also have another 'beat around town' bike that can hopefully keep my cravings at bay. :-) It really just doesn't make sense to have a bike that can eat up road the way this one can sitting in a garage gathering dust. So here is the rundown. The bike's fairing, tank, fender, and side panels are clean and without damage or scratches. The bikes removable travel bags show some scuffing where feet have brushed them getting on and off the bike. In addition, the bottom of the left travel case has some scratches that were there when I bought it. The previous owner said he dropped the case in some gravel when walking with it off the bike. I can't testify to this as I did not see it. I can say that I do not believe this bike has even been down. It is just too perfect everywhere other than the bottom of this case. I also have service records, including the records from the 12,000 mile service done on it. The tires have about 2500 miles on them and are in great shape. There is really nothing that this bike needs, so please bid with confidence. If I sell to a Mississippi resident, I have to collect sales tax and title the bike for you. If you are out of state, you take car of that yourself.
