Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1964 Tempest Custom project. She started life as a Tempest 2 door post car with a 6 cylinder and 2 speed powerglide with column shift. Her original color according to the cowl tag is SSA. I believe that this is a Saddle Metallic. The trim code is 211. ACC codes are B80 and B90 7634. She still retains the stock column and dash. I have installed VPN fiberglass bumpers both front and rear and painted them silver for looks. I have also included in this auction a set of authentic Anson slotted steel wheels dated 1969. These are 15" wheels. Fronts are 7" and rears are 8". Front brakes are up but rear brake line has been blocked off. Has drum brakes and non power steering box. Rear end has unknown ratio but is not a posi or limited slip. Body has your typical bumps and bruises that you would expect for a car that is 46 years old. All glass is good with no cracks. There is a small blister in windshield on drivers side near top at stainless trim but out of drivers view. All side glass rolls up and down and door latches operate well. Dash is in pretty good shape but gauge function is unknown. Hood and trunk lid are in great shape. Dash is uncut and in great shape. Front fenders could use lower extension patches. Inner fenderwell on passenger side near radiator support has rust through. Radiator support is in great shape. Drivers and passengers footwell are good. Some rust at areas under seats but an easy fix. There is rust through at some of the rear lower 1/4s and wheels arches and lips. Trunk floor has rust and has been cut out (See pictures). There are no seats in the car but I have a set of 64 Impala buckets that could be purchase separately. I have tried to describe this car to the best of my ability. This would make a great GTO clone project as these are becoming increasingly scarce. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangement and costs. Vehicle is located about 30 miles west of Boise Id. Close to I 84. Car is to be moved within 14 days of close of auction. Vehicle is for sale locally so auction could end early. Bid to win. Call me at 1-208-409-7911 if you have more questions. Thanks in advance.
