Vehicle Detail
I have decide to sell my little 1971 dodge pickup. It is a ½ ton short box 2wd. It is an ex Airforce truck. It is airforce blue. It has a 318 and automatic on the column. I have been driving this truck for about 2 years. It runs and drives really good. I have had it to Canada and all over Washington, Idaho and Montana. I trust it to drive anywhere. As soon as I got it, I removed the 3.91 gears and put in 3.23 for better cruising. I don’t know what the MPG is, but it is around 18 MPG. Next I pulled out a bunch of the Military leaf springs to lower it and make it ride nicer. I then pulled off the stock 16 inch military wheels and replace them with Chrome wheels you see. I also have 15 inch cop car wheels if you prefer. In the first few months I had it I rebuilt the carb, Changed the ignition to electronic, new belts, hoses and tune up. I cleaned the carbon out of the intake so the choke would open and new valve cover gaskets. It has a new tailpipe with a stock and very quiet muffler. It now has chrome front and rear bumpers, but I have the stock painted ones as well. I still have the stock 16 inch wheels also. Mechanically, everything works like it should. Body wise not so much. Like most of this generation of truck it has rust in the rocker panels and in the front cab mounts. The floors have been repaired some time in the past. The box is good except for the dent you should see in the drivers side of the box. The tailgate has some rust. The Tool box you see in the back, does not go with the truck. If you have questions please ask them.
