Up for auction is a 98% original 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 Custom Ranch Wagon. The car is very rare being a factory black car with black interior. This vehicle came factory equipped with a 289 V8 engine and "green dot" C4 automatic transmission. This car is in very good shape for its age with very minimal rust. I purchased this car from the estate of the original owner who passed away in 1990 and the car has been in covered storage since he passed away. The family told me that the motor had just been rebuilt before he passed away and I have no reason not to believe them. The motor runs extremely strong and does not smoke or make any abnormal noises at all. It is factory equipped with power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. The car has the factory optional rear facing 3rd row seat. The car is currently sitting on a set of 17"X8" Bullitt wheels with 245/45/17 tires that are in excellent shape. I will also include the full set of factory 14" wheels and tires with the car if the buyer wants to maintain originality. The only things that have been altered from factory are the current wheels and the car has now has a dual exhaust system that exits the sides behind the rear wheels. The front seat is torn and has a seat cover over it, the rear seat is in excellent shape and looks like it has hardly ever been sat in. After years of sitting, the gas tank will need to be replaced ($75) as it is currently being ran off of a can and electric fuel pump. This car is currently titled, registered and insured in my name. If you are looking for a highly optioned classic car that will only increase in value and you can drive while you work on then this is the car for you. There are not many of these fine automobiles around anymore and you will have to search a long time to find one as original and in as good condition as this one. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due by PayPal immediately after auction end with the balance due by cash/cashiers check within 7 days of auction end. All funds must clear my bank before the car or title will be released. As stated before, this car is in great shape for its age, but it is a 46 year old used car and is therefor sold as-is with no warranty.
