Vehicle Detail

1998 Porsche 944 NA Celebration Edition.( see web site http://porsche944celebrationedition.weebly.com/) indicated millage 110294 however the odometer does not work so I do not know the actual miles. I have had the car for four months and have done extensive work. I am selling the car because I started a new business and can use the cash. The reserve price is 1/2 of the low NADA retail for this vehicle (www.nadaguides.com classic cars) . The car is road worthy and you can drive it back home where ever you live. I would classify the the car as a 20 footer. Still needs some work to be perfect but the hard work is already done. The following work has been done. By previous owner within the last year Valve job with new timing belt and balance shaft belt ( verified by talking to the mechanic that did the work) New clutch By me in the last three months New Motor mounts New power rack and pinion steering New inner and outer tie rods New tires 4 wheel alignment Replaced the rims with the correct phone dial rims. New Battery New Complete Starter New wiper motor New Clutch Master cylinder New Clutch Slave Cylinder New tinted windshield New stainless exhaust (Cat is gone) New Sony 4 speaker stereo w/ CD New seat covers. (underneath torn) Repaired many of the little items The car runs strong and handles like it's on rails. Oil pressure 3 bar at idle when hot, 5 bar at 3000 rpm when hot. Shifts smoothly but a little bit of rattle in the shifter handle at 6000 rpm. Haven't had time to find what is loose in the shifter handle. Could actually be an exhaust vibration being picked up. I have to admit that I am classified as a senior citizen. I like to drive fast but none of that kids stuff. I believe that I have corrected all most all of the problems with the exception of the following. Converted the A/C to R134 last weekend. Drained the compressor and put in the correct amount of ester oil. Pulled a vacuum for 1/2 hour and charged with R134. It blew cold air. Back a week later and it needs to be charged again so there is a leak some where. The oil has leak detection dye in it but haven't had a chance to inspect all of the o-rings. One other problem is the horn doesn't sound.. Not sure why but that was low on my list. A little more attention to the small details and you will have a very nice classic Porsche. No more time and spare money for me Sorry about the pink stripe I got it that way. ( Great if you are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness ) SHORT 5 DAY AUCTION. THE RESERVE IS THE SAME AS BUY IT NOW PRICE. DON'T WANT TO GIVE IT AWAY BUT THE BUY IT NOW PRICE IS 1/3 OF WHAT I HAVE IN IT.
