I have owned this car for 10 years and I am the third Owner . Always liscensed , It starts, runs and drives great . I bought it from a lady that had it since 1968 and would not even let her husband drive "HER" car . He told me later that he did drive it to the store two times in 35 years .She sold it because she refused to drive it down the dirt road of their newly aquired ranch . I don't think this car has ever been driven hard ! It is the quietest riding , smoothest shifting 356 I have ever driven ( currently have three , have had many ). She did make three changes : exterior re-paint , Non-Porsche carpet , and a nice 12 volt radio with adapter . And she disconnected the air conditioning leaving the cooling grills and Porsche Logo controls ( Factory or Dealer ? ) with dual pully and compressor mounting bracket part that are now out of the car , but I have them.. I gave the car to my daughter for a year and she had the motor rebuilt and replaced the gas tank and muffler before giving it back to me , I drive it about 500 miles a year usually much less . I still have the California Blue liscense plates . The only significant rust is where your heel would rest under the gas pedal where there is a small area that has a pin hole and that is minor. The rest of the pan , battery box , longitudinals , jack points are original and beautiful . Minor serface body rust where the paint has worn off on the body and I have pictures of that . One original key fits everything .The front bumper is pushed back nearly to the body from a run in with a bear a couple years ago with a gentle pushed in dent that may just pop-out( note picture ). No crash damage seen any where else , just a few dings that would be an easy fix at painting time . Windshield has a small amount of wiper scuffing that may just wax or buff out easily ,other glass is very good . Beautiful original dash , All guages , heater , lights ,wipers ect. work . Newer 165/15 Centred tires (wider tread ).Originally signal red over black interior . Numbers matching motor and probably trans, wheels and every thing else I haven't checked it all . All latches , locks ,seat belts , doors , hood and engine cover releases work as they should . Not much is needed to make this car exceptional for the begining or advanced restorer or just drive and enjoy it like it is . A pleasure to have and save this car for the next Happy owner. Car is for sale locally and may be sold at any time .
