My partner and I are moving overseas and have to say goodbye to our much loved and well looked after VW Golf hatchback. It's been regularly maintained, is smoke-free and has no accidents on its record. You can't ask for a better car for city living - it can squeeze into almost any parking spot and through traffic where bigger cars would be stranded. But it's also a pleasure to drive on the open road with manual transmission for extra zip, and the four doors and hatchback allow plenty of room for sports equipment or whatever you might pick up on your travels. And of course, it's a blazing shade of red! Below you'll find more detailed information on the car, payment options and other important notes. Please feel free to contact me with questions; due to spam I can't post my private contact info here but I will provide it offline. 5 speed standard transmission Automatic Sun Roof Power Locks (though the key chain only unlocks, you need to use the key to lock) Air Conditioning and Heat work really well (gets warm and cool very fast) Oil changed and the Air Flow Meter replaced 2010 New clutch 2008 New tires in 2007 New front brake pads in 2008 Original carfax has 1 estimated previous owner, but I have owned it for most of its miles Never been in any collisions 124, 712 miles (note: the pictures show mileage from about a week ago) Most of the wear and tear is cosmetic: 3 of the 4 Body Moldings have come loose – I am not sure if they can be reattached, but I still have them 2 out of 4 original hubcaps are gone Hood has 2 rust spots – one the size of a quarter, the other the size of a dime A couple of light scratches on either side Although it running great, it will need new rear shocks this year. My mechanic estimated the cost at approx $300. The car is currently in Hoboken, NJ. We are close by in NYC and can meet you for a test drive on short notice (and this is a car you must drive to appreciate). You are welcome to take it to your own mechanic for an inspection (our last inspection was just under a year ago.)
