1957 MG Magnette ZB Varitone. Black plate California car. Incredible body condition, with excellent floors and sheet metal. No apparent accident damage. Only patching work has been to trunk floor. Rest of the car is outstanding. This car needs interior, as it has no carpets and no headliner. Seats have been recovered. Dash wood is excellent. The car does not have the original engine, but instead has a BMC 1500 engine from an Austin Cambridge. Car has been in storage for at least ten years. Engine turns over and fires but not running. Brakes, wiring, etc. will all need attention before car can be roadworthy. Front and rear window seals need replacing. This car is a project but deserves restoration. Car was in California up until 2000, then sold and placed in storage in Illinois. I bought the car early this year and shipped it to Florida. I would love to restore the car but medical issues force reluctant sale. I have a British Heritage certificate for car, was originally light blue over black with maroon interior. I have a replacement ID plate for the car from Moss Motors. I got serial number from stamped number in bulkhead. I have no idea if the mileage is accurate or original. A note on title status: I will provide a notarized bill of sale for the car. I have the original California title but it is still in the name of an owner two owners back so is considered a third-party title. Also comes with open California bill of sale from buyer named on signed over third-party title. Potential buyers should check with local title authorities to see if this paperwork will be acceptable. Otherwise, it may be necessary to obtain a title from Broadway Title or other title service agencty. Given this title status, car should be considered FOR PARTS.
