1974 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. 25,260 original miles. Paint is all original and very nice. Interior is all original and near perfect. All trim, bezels, emblems are original and like new. Truck was ordered with the SM-465 (4 speed) transmission. I bought the truck in January of this year from the local, 85 yr. old original owner. It has been garaged since new, even now. No sunlight damage ever. All seals, plastic and rubber parts are flexable and soft. All maintenance was done at the dealership it was bought new at. Original spare has never been used. After I purchased it I did the following work: New valve cover gaskets, new thermostat, new plugs, points, hoses, belts (they were all original). Put on a new (not rebuilt) water pump. Replaced original radiator with a new Griffin aluminum radiator. New intake gasket. Hand cleaned and painted top half of engine. New rearend cover gasked and grease. New rear shocks. Turned front rotors and replaced pads, calipers. I changed all this due to the age of the parts, they were working fine when I bought it. Truck runs cool in 95 degree weather, all day. I had planned on using the truck for a TRUCK, but I can't make myself haul anything in the near perfect bed. Once it's scratched up its just another old truck. Of course if I can't sell it, I will have to start using it. I will consider trades on a '73-'79 chevy/gmc 3/4 ton, manual trans pickup. Would like a good, solid truck, but not another garage Queen.
