Please, serious bidders only. NO RESERVE 1987 Mercedes Benz 190E 2.6L Straight 6 - the original Baby Benz. This car is in superb shape for its age. I bought it in 2007 and it has always been a reliable, fantastic car. I bought it as a second car to commute a long distance to work, but only did that for a year and no longer need the car - it mostly sits these days so it deserves a new owner. *This is a great car for a young driver or commuter car. Pros:-163,000 miles (if anyone knows about the straight 6, these cars have a reputation of lasting 500,000 miles or more) - Very strong 6 cylinder motor-I invite you to do a car fax report - NO accidents, no anything. -I'm the second owner-Oil changed with Mobil 1 synthetic oil-Almost perfect interior-Very good exterior - paint in good shape and shines nice when washed-Brand new battery (1 week old)-Brand new muffler (200 miles ago)-Brand new emergency/parking brake (6 months old)-Brand new tires all around (3,000 miles ago)-Good brakes-Great transmission-All windows/power sunroof/hydraulic door locks/digital temperature gauge/clock - all work-Leather (MB Tex) seats are in perfect condition. Carpeting is in perfect condition. New genuine Mercedes matching front and rear mats (4) Interesting Facts:-The spare tire has never been mounted and is the original Michelin, filled with air. It even says "Made in WEST Germany"-The tool kit is practically brand new with some of the wrenches/pliers never touched. They look brand new and each say "Made in WEST Germany"-The First Aid Kit has never been used - there are band-aids in there that are 23 years old-Mercedes Benz and fans are speculating the original Baby Benz will officially become a classic in two years - and this is a great example Genuine Factory Part Replacements over the past few years (in addition to the above):-Serpentine Belt (2007)-Tensioner (2007)-Air conditioner conversion (2006)-Shift Linkage, Strut Mounts, Strut Bump Stops, Strut Bellows (2006) Needs/Issues:-The radio is an aftermarket CD changer and is great, but stopped working a few weeks ago. But I believe the fuse is blown so it's an easy fix for the next owner. Also, the original Becker radio comes with the car-The dash has two small cracks on each side but I stopped them with silicone so they are no longer growing-The trip odometer doesn't work and it is at zero. This is only the trip odometer, NOT the regular odometer. The regular odometer works fine There are no warranties, express or implied.
