Very rare 1958 Chevrolet Impala convertible, this car has not ran in 20 years and has been stored inside in dry conditions, the old owner said he drove and parked the car inside. the engine does turn over but have not tried to start. I was told that there was around 1800 of this body style made, do not know how many are still out there. As far as I can tell this is the original motor for the car, engine block by bell housing #3849852, transmission is a 2 speed automatic, components missing are power steering unit, front bumper, and small louvers in front. front seats are not original, there are two buckets seats instead of bench seat, back seat original and in good shape. body has been repainted and worked on before and has some signs of rust. Steering wheel not original, gauges are there and clock, radio is missing. dash is rusty but good condition. convertible top has one small hole in it and is missing rear window. one window is missing on passenger side, trim is there. miss match set of tires and rims. frame is solid, there is a small weld back from bumper mounts about 8". trunk floor and wheel wells are rusted bad. floor pans are good in rest of the car. windshield good shape. odometer reads 03274 miles. color of car is purple with black stripes on back with mural of girl on trunk. overall this is a very workable and restorable Impala, restored this rare car can be worth big money. please ask any questions that you may have and I will answer the best I can. thanks
