Vehicle Detail
This mustang is my dream car and it makes me sick to have to part with it but I have lost my job and my family comes first. This car is simply awesome and just won a "top 30" trophy at a car show last weekend. What makes this car different is that not only is it super fast but it is also beautiful. Most cars that seem to be for drag racing are pretty ugly and not so clean:) I had this car built to be bad ass in the 1/4 mile but also be able to cruise it to local cruise-ins or shows on the weekend. The car is super fun to cruise around town and get all the attention on a Friday evening but would not be good for a trip because of the 1/4 mile gear. The car is not perfect. I am a perfectionist and just want to state that. Is it as about as good as it gets for a car with 75,000 miles though and almost 20 years old? I definitly think so! The car is ready to go. The work was literally just completed a couple weeks ago and ALL work was done my Jeff Wightman at Precision Autosports. He is one of the best known Mustang guys in the business and cars are shipped from all over the country for him to modify and tune. This car made 301 rwhp on a chassis dyno and I know that doesn't seem like a whole lot but the car has a c4 automatic, drag radials all of which absorb energy on the dyno. This car makes well over that I know because it will flat out smoke my buddies 2001 corvette zo6 and it runs dead even with another buddy of mine's camaro that put down 475 rwhp. This car is light! It has only been down the track twice (I don't like getting rubber on my car:) and it ran 12.2 sec in the 1/4 with a 7.7 1/8 mile time and a 1.60 60 ft. time. Yes it hooks up big time! The 1st time it went down the track it was up against a 2010 zl575 ss camaro which is a limited edition ss camaro that is supercharged from the factory putting out 575 crank hp and it ran a 12.5 so as I said this car is fast! The only negative I can think of is the horn doesn't work (maybe just a fuse) 2 of the pod gauges are not hooked up yet, and the tranny makes a "clunk" noise when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. It only does it when cruising. Under load (racing) it doesn't do it. I of course had it checked out thinking I might have a bad u-joint or something in the brand new rear end wasn't right. Nothing was wrong with anything and I was told by the guy who built the tranny that it was the way the clutches were engaging in the transmission and he could get rid of the "clunk" by reducing line pressure but that It wasn't a good idea to do it cause it shifts very nice and hard now and nothing is wrong with it. Car was originally a 5-speed and the clutch pedal is still there. The nitrous is not hooked up electrically and it has NEVER been sprayed. I never had the nerve so I never even had it hooked up. It looks awesome for show though and you can decide if you want to take it further! As I have said this car is a blast and as beautiful as it is fast. With that said I will list all the mods now and almost everything has less than 200 miles on it (no joke) Good luck and I know you will be in love with this car as much as I am: 1993 mustang g.t. – reef blue metallic/titanium 306 cu.
