Vehicle Detail

1963 Willys Jeep CJ5 - Restored This Willys was just recently finished with body off restoration by a retired fireman/mechanic who spared no expense to get this rig right. When he purchased it, it was a 32K mile original Jeep. When it was all finished, it was too nice to drive up and down his mountain road to his home in Idaho, so he sold it. I've only had it few weeks and due to shoulder issues I won't be able to shift it indefinitely. So, here we go..there are plenty of photos to tell the story on the jeep. Everything has been checked (and if questionable replaced) as he had planned to keep it . · body off restoration, epoxy primered all parts, 5 coats urethane paint (Omaha Orange) on a rust-free body…. All excellent. · Front end and rear end taken apart/seals/bearing/kinpins/brakes all lines/master cylinder/shoes/wheel cylinders, etc. · steering box (Ross) rebuilt · new radiator/hoses/fuel pump/water pump/Solex carb/single wire alternator/high torque starter/coil wiring /battery etc./Omnex electronic ignition (Distributor) · new tinted windshield/new wipers with arms/blades · new speedometer, new steering wheel · new fuel system including new fuel tank, sending unit, and all steel lines, no hoses · showing only the 150 miles on the rig since assembled and 3k on the motor, which was done before he decided to do a complete restoration · rare am Motorola with a period speaker for the tunes · new complete clutch assemby · transmission and transfer case as new with new emergency brake assembly and cable. T case, Tranny and axles filled with synthetic 70-90 gear lube · New complete exhaust system · (5) Toyo 235R75x15 tires mounted on chrome wheels · Due to the size of the tires I mounted a factory 15x6 rim on a 700x15 on the side where it belongs, which is the same height as the Toyo to be used as the spare. Top is in excellent condition, but he could not come to drill any holes - so the doors have not be mounted but all hardware is there. Here in AZ I would not use them myself. This jeep needs nothing, but a factory horn. He was not able to find one. When this arrives, if you have it shipped - just choke it. I pump accelerator and you'll swear it does not turn over - it starts that quick..and it purrs. This was an extensive no-expense spared restoration. If this Jeep were any nicer, you'd just put it on rollers and wheel it around your garage. You wouldn't want to drive it! This is a great driving/reliable jeep with the original F-head engine, transmission, T- case, axles, suspension and gearing. I lowered the reserve on this Jeep to $9,200 with a buy-it-now at that price. So if you take the time to bid - BID TO BUY. Feel free to contact me with any questions at 503-752-0771. I would rather talk Jeep than type Jeep.
