Vehicle Detail
1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ Project. I bought it to turn into my next Rock Crawler/Wheeler, but decided to build my Cherokee instead. I drove the jeep home and started to tinker with it. The 4.2 258 motor runs great and has an Offenhauser Four barrel intake with an Edelbrock Four barrel carburator on it. It has a brand new exhaust manifold and exhaust system with less than 10 miles on it! The Clutch works great and the AX15 transmission and 231 transfer case work great as well. The jeep is equipped with stock dana 30 and 35 axles and has no lift. It has no spring sag that is common in these jeeps. I started to install a WWII Willys MB grille into it, but still have the original YJ grille that comes with the auction. There is no doors or top, and the interior consists of two ratty seats. It has no rear seat. The tub is rusted in the front floors, the rear is solid. Someone tryed to convert the tailgate to CJ style, and it works, but looks ugly in my opinion. All electrical works. The windshield is cracked. No battery is included. The frame is rusted at the rear shackles and will need to be patched. The rest of the frame looks pretty good. The radiator needs to have some brackets fabbed for the MB grille if you decide to keep it. Currently you cannot drive it because the fan will hit the radiator unless you strap it up. I think it should be towed home, and under no circumstances should be driven until fixed up more. The MB grille has no headlights or marker lights. If you do not want the MB grille, I will pull it and subtract $100 from the auction end price. The starter makes noises when turning over. It makes no noises when running. I think the engine may not be original, because it does not run like a 195,000 mile engine. It also was painted yellow at some time, so it must have been pulled. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction close. Must be picked up within 30 days. After 30 days you forfiet rights to item and no refunds will be made. Sold AS IS WHERE IS. I will deliver for $1.00 a loaded mile. Delivery must be pre-paid. Bid early-Bid Often- Good Luck!
