Vehicle Detail
JEEP 1980 LAREDO FACTORY ORIGINAL 304 V8 FACTORY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ORIGINAL BLACK ON BLACK! I purchased this CJ7 about a year ago. It was purchased from a seller out of Georgia. It was his daily driver and he had owned sense 2004. The prior owner was from Florida, I am not sure how long he owned it. That owner however did a frame off restoration somewhere around 1995. The owner in Georgia did have the transmission and engine rebuilt and he provided me receipts for those repairs. It has been in my garage for the past year; I did a complete restoration of the interior, detailed the engine, and replaced the steering shaft and steering gear box. I also replaced all the gauges. I would rate this beautiful CJ7 an 8 out of 10. A fresh paint job and a factory exhaust and it would be a 10 and well worth 20K. · Seats- factory original Laredo have been professionally redone. · Carpet- New · Floor pans- Factory original, 2 small repairs that were under the front roll bar mounts have been welded; also a couple pin holes were welded in driver’s floor. All was sanded and sprayed with Eastwood chassis paint. · Roll Bar- factory pad and perfect · Gauges- all new and all work. · Radio- a JVC head unit works but no speakers connected. · Steering wheel and Grab bar factory Laredo leather wrapped and in great condition. · Engine factory original 304 with fresh rebuild with factory look but with an Edelbrock intake, 4 barrel carburetor, mild cam, Electronic ignition, and headers. In my opinion it’s too loud, but my friends say it sounds great. It starts and runs great. · Transmission factory 3 speed auto rebuilt · Transfer case Dana 300, seems to have a slight drip, I have a re-gasket kit that goes with the Jeep · Axles-Factory AMC 20 rear and Dana 30 front, not sure of ratio but I believe it is a 2??-1. Rear is an open diff. · Lift 2” with a nice look · Tires Brand new 31X10.5X15 · Rims- Factory chrome spokes · Brakes- Good · Steering tight and good · Tops- 3 tops, Brand new soft top period correct, brand new bikini top, and a hard top from an YJ in fair condition. · Doors- Factory original full hard doors with Laredo interior panels, brand new set of soft doors, and a set of half doors with very nice uppers ( you will need to install a different type latch for the half doors) · Frame- very nice no rust, no repairs. · Fuel tank new · Bumpers chrome Smitty Built · Tub/body- very solid no rust visible thru the paint, very solid southern CJ · Paint, decent but not perfect, some swirl, and chips, over all good look I have owned several CJ7’s and by far this is the nicest. This is a very nice solid southern Jeep Laredo CJ7 factory auto and V8. You get 3 sets of door and top combinations. If I were to keep the Jeep I would install a factory exhaust, replace the seals in the transfer case. Any questions 4103700275.
