1962 Volvo P1800 that I rescued out of a barn a year ago. The guy I bought it from said that there were no issues with the car when it was parked roughly 20 years ago. The car does have some rust, but all very fixable. This car does need a total restoration and is a good candidate as most everything is there. It has been painted (originally white), so it is hard to determine what was repaired before, but it doesn't look like it was too bad; worst looks to be the rocker panels and a small spot behind the rear wheels. From underneath, there is one soft spot at the front of the passenger side floor--but mostly all is solid. I drained and refilled all the fluids and they all looked good except the fuel tank which had a lot of water and will need to be rebuilt or replaced. I installed a makeshift fuel tank and a battery and it fired right up. The brakes do not work and will need to be rebuilt completely. I did drive it around the parking lot to be certain the trans and overdrive worked--no surprises/noises. The water pump leaks badly, so I couldn't run it very long. Again, I consisder this car a complete restoration candidate, but it is all there and very solid--AND--it is an early production English built 1962 Jensen car--thus is very COOL--from a collector's view. This car should be returned to its former glory or turned into a vintage racecar.
