Vehicle Detail
Thanks for looking at my auction of my Dads car. It is a beautiful ice blue Mercury Grand Marquis with light grey leather interior. It is loaded with options like, keyless entry, auto lamps, auto dimming rear view mirror, power adjustable pedals, dual power seats, traction control, antilock brakes, cd and cassette and a full size spare tire. To my knowlege, it has never been in an accident and shows no signs of any previous paint work. My parents bought this car in, I believe, 2004 with about 25,000 miles on it. Since then it has been very well cared for and pampered. I am a Ford technician and have done most of the maintenence on the car except for the winters they had it in Florida. It has gotten an oil change every 3,000 mile with only Motorcraft oil and filters. The last oil change was just two weeks ago. The transmission has been flushed every 30,000 miles. There are no leaks anywhere under the car and all the suspension and steering is tight. It has been trouble free from the day they bought it. They only time they had any issues with it was 2 years ago when the original battery gave up. I replaced it with a new Ford Motorcraft battery and that is the only money they've had to spend on it besides normal maintenance and wear items. The tires were replaced for the first time approximately 10,000 miles ago and I aligned the front end at that time. Two months ago, the right front tire went flat and was not repairable, so it was replaced at that time. The new tire is the same brand but a slightly different tread design. You really have to look to notice the difference though. The interior is in like new condition. The body is in excellent condition for the year but does show very few minor dings and light scratches, but they don't take away from the beauty of this car! I am taking it into the dealership this week to have our prep department do a complete detail on the interior and exterior including buff and wax. Most of the scratches will be gone. This car was my parents pride and joy and got anything it needed, most of which I did for them myself. They are both gone now and there isn't anyone in the family that can use it so we are selling it for their estate, of which I am the trustee. We do have a clear title in hand. I hope someone can enjoy this car as much as my parents did. If you have any questions, I'll be glad to answer them for you. Bid with confidence. Good luck!
