Very Rare Four Door Convertible You have found a very rare and great condition car to bid on. First of all the 1961 Continental Convertible is very hard to find and my opinion is the best looking of all the suicide door convertibles that Lincoln made. The overall condition of the car is very good. It has not been properly restored but is a great candidate for restoration due to a solid body and frame. Underneath the car is in terrific shape with no rusted frame and no repairs to the floor pans that so many of these cars have. The overall body has a few imperfections: there are a few chips in the paint and a few blisters on the arch in front of the rear wheels. The paint is not broken but a few bubbles. The interior is original leather and is whole with no rips and all there. Carpets are original and appear all there. The power top has just been replaced(last week) and the very important mechanical part works fine. The car is equipped with the 430 cid V8 engine. I have freshened up many parts including: tune up, brake master, brake vacuum booster, fuel lines, fuel pump, carburator has been rebuilt by a local expert. The car has new mufflers and some new pipes, retainaining the original dual set up. Tires are new. Brakes: new wheel cylinder, flex hoses, and metal lines. The car runs and drives great and it is amazing how smooth a 50 year old car can drive. A real head turner. One of the great things about this car is that most of the electrical options work. Power window, power locks, power seat, along with the air conditioning blows ice cold and switches over to heat with a turn of the dial. As I said this would be a great car to do a full restoration on. It would not take much to make it a $30k car that have been selling accross the country I recomend you contact me to walk around the car with you or to set up an inspection.
