This extremely straight 1955 Chevrolet 2 door post was built as a V8 in Los Angeles, California and currently houses a strong and reliable 350 V8 with a turbo 350 automatic transmission. This car has lived its life in California as a parade car, with the same family for over 15 years. The frame and body on this ’55 is second to none, it is VERY VERY straight. Paint/Body: This car has an EXTREMELY straight body and is a pleasure to look at. If you want a straight body, you wont be disappointed! It was painted about 13 years ago and is in decent shape there is some surface rust is popping up on the drip rail and rocker panel....no rot in the floors, truck or anywhere else!!!! The paint has a few chips here and there and a scuff on the right headlight area. Nicer then what you would think a 13 year old restored car would look like. Probably like what most people would refer to now-a-days as a 5 year old restored car. Restorations now and then are two different worlds. Engine/Trans: Powered by a very reliable and strong running 350 V8 that can sit idling for however long and not get hot. This ’55 is a sound car that will start up easily every time, doesn't drain the battery and can handle cruising on the hottest of days. She is shifted by a smooth automatic transmission the is in great shape. This is the type of car you could by today and across the country tomorrow. Trim: You can tell this car was built to be a parade car because it is in very nice shape. It also didn't spend its life outside or the trim wouldn't have lasted this well. The bumpers look like they are almost new, the exterior trim pieces are in great shape. Most showing no wear and some having a minor nick or two. Better then most I have seen. The dash and interior is extremely nice in this car. Glass: Very nice glass. Passenger vent window has minor delaminating and one scratch on passengers rear window about an Inch long. Other then that it is great. Trunk: Unbelievably original! No signs of any accidents or body work or rust repair. Again, this is an amazingly straight car. Wheels/Tires: Great looking aluminum wheels with older but decent tires.
