This is a 1970 Dodge Challenger A-93 Deputy car with the original, numbers matching, 225 cubic inch, slant 6, with 1 barrel carb. It has an A-903 3 speed manual transmission. The original color was a EB5, Bright Blue Metallic, with high back black bucket seats. The Challenger Deputy (Option Code A93) was a mid-year introduction (March 1970) and continued until the end of 1971 model production. This version of the Challenger was unique in several ways. The car was similar to the base Challenger hardtop with the following exceptions ; The rear quarter windows were fixed in place by leaving out the regulator and bolting the track. The rear window winder was deleted and the hole plugged with a chrome button. The steering wheel is coachman grain like the Barracuda. This car has very solid floor pans. The trunk pan is a little weak and will probably need replaced. The lower rear quarter needs replaced. There is a little rust on the lower left front fender. Overall it is a very complete solid car. The engine is not running at this time. The frame rails are in very solid condition with no signs of rust. There is a crack in the front windshield, but all other glass is good. Fabulous project car!! The rally hood that is in the pictures of the car, is not sold with the car but is for sale seperatly. I have the original hood that will be sold with the car, see pictures where it is leaned up against the red barn. The car is sold as is were is and is for sale locally, so I have the right to end the auction early. I require a $500 deposit, and remainder to be paid within 3 days of the end of the auction.
